Tierra del Sol Elementary School

Dot Day, celebrated annually on September 15th, is based on Peter H. Reynolds' book The Dot, which encourages creativity, courage, and collaboration. At Tierra del Sol, it's a day where students engage in art activities inspired by the book, often making their own "dots" using various materials. The goal is to encourage self-expression, help students understand that they can make a mark in the world, and foster a sense of community through shared creative efforts. Many classrooms also incorporate storytelling, discussions about growth mindset, and activities to celebrate individual creativity.
