Tierra del Sol Elementary Robotics Takes Home Awards
El Paso's Elementary & Middle Schools Shine at VEX IQ Robotics Competition
The future of STEM blazed bright in El Paso on October 25, 2025, as elementary and middle school students competed in a blended VEX IQ Robotics Competition event. Local school robotics teams demonstrated exceptional technical skill and collaborative spirit, earning top honors and showcasing the high level of robotics talent in the VEX IQ Region 1.
Against the best of both Elementary and Middle School, Tierra del Sol Elementary School proudly stood out among the competitors. Tierra del Sol's Cyber Knights rose to the challenge. Its robotics team, Cyber Knights A (Team #68262A), demonstrated impressive performance and teamwork, securing both the Teamwork 2nd Place Award and the Robot Skills 2nd Place Award. The students' success reflects the countless hours they have dedicated to engineering design, programming, and practice, proving that these young innovators have what it takes to excel in competitive robotics. Other schools, including Harmony School of Innovation, also achieved success, with teams such as Blue Lightning, Green Charge, Tanzanite Tigers, and Emerald Tigers earning awards in various categories. The competition was a resounding success, fostering collaboration and encouraging students to pursue their passions in science and technology.
